Brief Bio
"I started thru-hiking in 2002 after reading an article in the local San Diego newspaper about a guy who hiked something called the Appalachian Trail. I had no idea what that was, but it sounded like something I could do even though I had backpacked a grand total of 3 nights in my life. 5 months and 2,170 miles later my life was totally changed. And now 20 years and over 40,000 miles later I couldn't imagine ever leading a different life. I feel like my best self out on the trails."
